PickleCue uses a skill rating system from 2.0 to 5.0+ based on the standard pickleball rating scale. During profile setup:

  • 2.0-2.5 - Beginner: Learning basic rules and strokes
  • 3.0-3.5 - Intermediate: Consistent serves, developing strategy
  • 4.0-4.5 - Advanced: Strong all-around game, competitive play
  • 5.0+ - Expert: Tournament-level player

If you have a DUPR rating, you can link it in your profile settings for verified skill level.

Yes! PickleCue is free to download and use. Core features including court discovery, joining games, and finding partners are all free.

We may offer optional premium features in the future, but the main functionality will always be free.

Finding Courts

Tap the Courts tab to see a map of courts in your area. You can:

  • Pan and zoom the map to explore different areas
  • Tap court pins to see details, photos, and ratings
  • Use the search bar to find courts by name or location
  • Filter by indoor/outdoor, free/paid, and amenities

Make sure location services are enabled for the best experience.

Help the community by reporting real-time court conditions! When you're at a court:

  • Open the court detail page
  • Tap "Check In" to mark yourself as present
  • Select the current status: Empty, Few Players, Busy, or Closed

Your report helps other players know what to expect before they arrive.

Yes! If you know of a court that isn't in our database:

  • Go to the Courts tab
  • Tap the + button or "Add Court"
  • Enter the court name, location, and details
  • Add photos if possible

Submitted courts are reviewed before being published to ensure accuracy.

Games & Events

Creating a game is simple:

  • Go to the Play tab
  • Tap the + button to create a new game
  • Select a court from the map or search
  • Set the date, time, and duration
  • Choose game type (singles, doubles, open play)
  • Set skill level requirements
  • Add a description and publish!

Players matching your criteria can then RSVP to your game.

Browse available games in the Play tab. You can:

  • View games on the map or in list view
  • Filter by skill level, date, or game type
  • Tap a game to see details
  • Tap "Join" to RSVP

If a game is full, you can join the waitlist and be notified if a spot opens.

We understand plans change. To cancel:

  • Open the game in My Games
  • Tap "Leave Game" or "Cancel" (if you're the host)

Please cancel early when possible. Late cancellations or no-shows affect your Trust Score and make it harder for others to plan. If a game is cancelled, all participants are notified automatically.

Account & Profile

Go to the Profile tab and tap "Edit Profile" to update:

  • Profile photo
  • Display name
  • Skill level
  • Playing preferences
  • Bio

Keep your profile up to date to get better game and partner recommendations!

Trust Score is a measure of your reliability as a player. It's affected by:

  • Showing up - Attending games you've committed to
  • Cancellation timing - Canceling early is better than late
  • Player feedback - Reviews from other players
  • Verified account - Linking DUPR or other verification

A higher Trust Score helps you get accepted into games and builds your reputation.

We're sorry to see you go! To delete your account:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Account
  • Tap Delete Account
  • Confirm deletion

Warning: Account deletion is permanent. All your data, game history, and profile will be removed and cannot be recovered.
